Wellington Buddhist Centre

Wellington Buddhist Centre is the hub of a friendly community of people in Wellington who are interested in Buddhism and meet up regularly to meditate and support each other. Currently there are 13 members of the Triratna Buddhist Order in Wellington as well as about 35 mitras and regular friends.

At our centre in Mount Cook off Adelaide Road we run drop-in classes for newcomers to meditation on Monday evenings and Saturday mornings. Our open night, to which anyone is welcome, is on Tuesday at 7pm. We also run a program of other classes, events, retreats, festivals and study seminars for those with more experience.
